Step 1: Create your First Ruleset

Rulesets define what criteria determine whether a project passes or fails an analysis. You can find more detailed information about rules and rulesets here.

A default ruleset requiring no viruses or high/critical severity vulnerabilities will already exist for your team. Therefore, you may skip this step if you prefer to use that default ruleset.

Creating a ruleset:

1. Log in to the Ion Channel console.
2. From the hamburger menuin the upper right corner, select Add a Ruleset.
   -or-
   From the Rulesets page, select the + icon located to the right of the team drop-down menu.
3. Ensure the correct team appears in the team drop-down menu on the right-hand side.
4. Enter a name for the ruleset to identify which rules exist in the ruleset.
5. If desired, enter a description of the ruleset.
6. Enable one or more rules by selecting the Yes radio button under Enable Rule. Select a value from the drop-down menu if included with the rule.
7. Click Add ruleset when you are happy with the settings.
