The Container Dependencies tile provides information on any dependencies that are designated in a Dockerfile. If container dependencies are detected, the number of dependencies will be provided on the tile. When a version is included, Ion Channel will check to determine if any vulnerabilities exist for that dependency. Vulnerability detection for unversioned container dependencies is not currently supported.
Selecting the tile will provide a full list of container dependencies along with their details.
Container Dependency Detection
Ion Channel will detect Docker container dependencies using apk, apt-get, rpm, and yum package managers.
Governance:
No rules govern the Container Dependencies scan results, but the results feed into the vulnerability scans.
Tile Statuses:
Not Evaluated: The project has been analyzed and language results have been obtained.
Error: An error occurred during the scan or analysis. Selecting the tile will provide information on the cause of the error.
